Proposed Specialty Programing
Parry Sound Community Radio's mandate includes developing and broadcasting programming based on community participation. Our goal is to focus on areas of varied and current interests of the area people through the programming of spoken word and musical programming. This includes senior living, civic and municipal news, literature, arts, current events, theatre and live entertainment.

Seniors In Action
Runtime: One Hour
Talk show featuring senior citizens involved in the community, with hobbies, clubs, part-time work, with the emphasis of advocating for seniors’ mental health and wellbeing



Liaison
Runtime: One Half Hour
Talk show featuring local guests speaking on municipal affairs, current events, local clubs, organizations, human interest



Municipal Affairs
Runtime: One Hour
Council news, interviews with Mayor, Councillors, Staff, everything from planning, to bylaws, development, Town Council Meeting updates, news of upcoming meetings related to Town business and more



Ask the Expert
Runtime: One Half Hour
Call-in program with local experts related to show’s subject matter for the day; law, gardening, personal health,
travel, municipal affairs, real estate, hobbies, home and cottage renovations



Collective Voices
Runtime: One Half Hour
While still low in numbers, Statistics Canada reports notable growth in our visible minority community. This program will reach out to and encourage members of this segment to participate in programming reflecting on their cultures



Tourism in the Playland
Runtime: One Half Hour
Talk on current tourism trends and trades in the area, impact on local business and residents



Francophones in the Sound: Bonjour!
Runtime: One Half Hour
With a growing population speaking English and French, we'll meet with local Francophones, learn about their language, culture and music. Their contribution and participation will include the French community's news, information and events



Medical Matters
Runtime: Thirty Minutes
Discussions with health care professionals over
health and wellness, heart, blood pressure, annual checkups, first aid, cancer, diabetes, palliative care, oral hygiene, children’s health care, etc.



Our Town & History
Runtime: Thirty Minutes
Program focuses on individual neighbourhoods throughout the West Parry Sound Area featuring stories about the people, buildings, unique facts and landmarks and history. It's a personal and close up look at what makes each neighbourhood and village tick.

Program for any hobby enthusiast, covering everything from photography, stamp collection, coin collection, pottery, indoor gardening, painting, model cars and trains, knitting, needlepoint, arts and crafts and so on.



The Tech Guru

Program offers advice, how-to and suggestions on managing today’s electronic and digital world, including laptops desktops, smart phones, smart televisions, wifi, digital storage, software and much more



The Happy Chef
